    Description

Antique Japanese satsuma vase- the vase with a central painting of an eagle or bird of prey perched on a tree limb eyeing two smaller birds. It is completely hand painted with a beautiful scene with the eagle as the focal point.  The leaves have gold detailing that resemble fans. The eagle has exquisite gold detail throughout. The hand painted border is rich golds with symmetrical designs around the neck and base. This vase is most likely from the
Meiji Era (C.1868 - 1912), and signed by the artist. I am not an expert on satsuma marks, but I think it may be a Kinkozan or Kizan mark. It measures approximately 8 3/4" inch tall. Other than the normal wear from age, it is in
    Excellent
Condition, without any damage or repairs. Please email any concerns before purchasing- Thank You!
