    Description

Relying on my copy of Hazel Marie Weatherman's book on depression glass, "this pattern was once call the "Waffle" pattern, but production records of the Hocking Division of Anchor Hocking Corporation show it to be Waterford, a "Rose Glass Tableware" of 1938. At that time the Thirties' intrigue with colored glass ware was waning, and this was one of the company's last patterns to come in pink. Then in 1939 Waterford was introduced in crystal table services, this time with many additional pieces .... The crystal production lasted through 1944, when a short "war line" offered occasional pieces only."
This butter dish is in perfect condition, and is a dainty looking piece compared to the depression Colonial butter dish I've also listed. The bottom in 6 1'2" in diameter, with the butter holding center 4" in diameter. It is 4 1/4' tall overall.
